Luandry day, a day where New Zealand woke up bright and early before the sun had the chance to just to get all her luandry done. It was a crisp and clean morning with slight chill nipping at your nose. Kura wore sky blue PJ pants along with a white tang top that showed off dark spots where her tattoo had hid on her stomach, side, back, and chest. Part of this tatto showed on her right shoulder and part of her shoulder blade. Her blonde hair was pulled back into a tangled mess to the side of her head in a little messy bun.
New Zealand quickly rummaged through a basket of clean clothes and slid on a nice little sky blue jacket to match her blue sheep pajama pants. She quickly zipped it up hiding all traces of the tattoo. This Tattoo she had never told anyone about and did a good job of covering it up. She began to dump out all the clean clothes on a folding table and neatly folded them all up one by one placing them back in the basket. She then grabbed a bag of dirty clothes and dumped them all in the washer. The islander yawned sleepily again rubbing her eyes. "Why do I wake up so early?"
she asked herself. As soon as the clothes were on their way to getting clean New Zealand grabbed a third basket of clean clothes placing them on top of the other basket and began heading towards the door. As soon as she got inside she placed the two baskets on the table. As soon as she did so she began to head towards the living room to watch some Televison and check on the news. However as soon as she started dragging her feet she felt the floor give way and the next thing she knew she took a face plant to the floor with a sheep nibbling at her toes bleating out complaints for food. Kura simply layed there with her face towards the floor grumbling out a complaint. She planned on falling asleep right then and there...until she heard the door bell. Who would possibly come at this hour? She slowly stood up and wobbled her way towards the front door and began to open it. "hello?" [/blockquote]

"Guten morgen, New Zealand."
As the door opened, expressionless blue eyes caught sight of a sleepy nation in sheep pajamas. The sight was rather amusing at first, but then Germany remembered the very reason he had come all the way to the isolated island. Giving a slight bow, he took note of all the sheep in the house and mentally grimaced. "Are.. you busy?" Not that it would really matter anyways, because the Germanic nation had not come all this way just to be turned away. Just why was here here?
Land, of course. While New Zealand didn't have any sort of special resource nor was the island in a position that would help conquer other territories, Germany knew that a certain Englishman valued her-- with this being known, she was one of the first on the country's list in order to get back at former enemies; she didn't have anything he specifically wanted, but instead she was just a small part of his plan to get back at those that wronged him.
After a few moments of thinking, Germany simply turned back to the shorter nation, patiently waiting for a response. It was mildly chilly, so he hoped that he would at least be invited into the house. If not, he could always speak to her outside.. Whatever the case ended up being, it was a sure thing that New Zealand was bound to have her day ruined, despite the fact that the day had only just begun.

New Zealand was surprised to see Germany. She blinked a few times rubbing her eyes trying to make sure it was him. "Good morning Germany,"
she said polietly. New Zealand was known for being nice to others. "The time zones must be different where you live," she thought out loud staring at his nice and neat uniform and then looking down at her PJ's. She was just glad she put the jacket on before she had gotten to the door so that he wouldn't see the tatto sticking out. She stared at him for a moment and then moved aside. "Come on in..." she said with a friendly smile. "If I knew I was going to have company I would have tidied up a bit..." She stared at the sheep as it suspiciously watched Germany pass. "Are you hungry? I have some left over lolly cake in the fridge. But that's not much of a breakfast food..." She let out another yawn shoving her hands into her jacket pockets. "Sorry...I'm just a little tired." As soon as he came in she shut the door behind him. Her sheep slowly aproached him sniffing him but then quickly and boardly walking away. She was silent for a moment before she quickly walked over to the table and moved her clean clothes. 'this is really humiliating! I have a messy house with company over.' she thought to herself. "Ah, you can sit down if you want..." the country sounded very tired. The islander made her way back over to the table and sat down at one of the chairs and smiled at Germany still very tired. "So, what brought you hear today?" [/blockquote]

Sitting down opposite of the younger nation, Germany raised an eyebrow. "About twelve hours difference, actually.. And no, I just ate." Time zones were a bit of an annoyance when visiting other countries, especially if it was afternoon for one and early morning for another. "I apologize if this isn't the best time, but you should know this as quickly as possible." With that, the nation reached into his jacket and laid a few crisp, newly-made papers onto the kitchen table. Trying not to look at the sheep (Gott, there were so many of them..) that roamed the house, he glanced down at the paperwork. "It would be in your best interest to look these over, and acknowledge what is written."
Germany crossed his arms and leaned back in his chair, fully confident that the island would be under his control by the end of the day.
"As you're aware, there's been a lot of changes." He paused, gaze turning back to the New Zealander. "You were a colony of Kirkland's once, ja?" Without waiting for much of a response, he continued, determined to get to the point. "Though so. Vell, you don't seem like a belligerent country, and I'm sure you're tired, so just sign those and I'll be on my way." Truthfully, he didn't want to have fight her for the land; it would be a waste of resources, especially flying out to the corner of the world, and also she had greeted him kindly and invited him inside despite the sun not even being up yet. So maybe he didn't feel a little bad, but that still wasn't enough to stop him from going through with his current plan; like it or not, New Zealand was going to be under German control, even if it did come to force.
With having her rushed to sign the paperwork though, might have been a good thing (but even Germany was a little confused on how to go about this, since he first insisted she read the papers then almost immediately ushered her to simply sign them so he could leave; it was mostly due to the fact that he knew little to nothing about her). At least then, the later shock of agreeing to be under his control (which was she was doing if she would oblige) would outweigh the possible war that would happen if she refused outright at the moment.

"Whoa, twelve hours? That's quite some time difference,"
she laughed. He was wide awake whhile she was sleepy and tired. If she was an untrusting person she'd be suspicious thinking someone is taking advantage of her. She wouldn't trust Germany and be cuatious. However this is New Zealand we're talking about. As a child if Russia were even to try anything with her she just might agree if it weren't for the fact England got protective. It's a good thing that she hadn't run into Russia in a long time now. Even today, Kura is a little more cuatious and knows the other countries better but still forgives people quickly and trusts them even faster then that. Changes? New Zealand was icolated, didn't get out of her own country in some time now. The islander had been so concentraited on working hard at on her own home. Sure she got lonely and thought it was great Germany came to visit. But it seemed he just wanted to discuss buisness rather then just some small talk. "Well I was..." she said as she began to read over the paper. "For a long time too...but that eventually ended and now I'm..." she stopped talking as she continued reading over the paper utterly shocked with what was going on. New Zealand slowly looked up at Germany a little wide eyed. "This is a joke, right? If not I don't know what your up too but it can't be good." She put the paper down a little in denial. After World War II everything seemed fine and peachy. She didn't think Germany would be up to anything else and quickly tried to forget about the world war that even she had fought in a little. "Even if this is a joke I'll have to refuse to sign these papers." she said pushing the papers across the table back to him. "I'll be happy to discuss some kind of alliance with you though." She was still wondering if this was some kind of joke or not. He seemed like he was being quite serious about this. He had even worn his uniform. But then again she had never seen him without his uniform. Wasn't the point of a joke to be serious until the punch line then everyone would laugh? Well, New Zealand didn't find this funny... [/blockquote]

He was hoping she wouldn't be difficult to deal with.. But alas, New Zealand seemed to be the type to fight back.
Germany sighed. "Do I look like the type of person to joke around?" he could almost hear the other nations scoffing at that statement, "besides, I'm not here for alliances." For one, alliances never held. Second, the islander being an ally of his would leave him with nothing to gain, and would result in nothing more than a wasted piece of paper. The European nation took the papers and pointedly moved them back across the table to the other. He had patience, yes, but he didn't expect to stay here all day with the game of back-and-forth when he had other matters to attend to. "As I said, it would be in your best interest. Would you prefer if someone like Russia came along and conquered your land? If you agree to this, the most I'll do is have some troops stationed here and you will be officially be under German control."
Well, maybe it wasn't as light and peachy as he had put it, but all the nation wanted was for the agreement to be signed so he could have something to throw in the Englishman's face; there was no reason to destroy or worry about an island in the corner of the world that was no threat.
Then again.. Would an alliance be better? Germany had to wonder if any of the others would try to claim the island as their territory; if that was the case, the problem was that he would be sending troops that could be used elsewhere to protect an island that appeared to have little to give in return. If no one was planning to approach New Zealand any time soon however, there would be no harm in it, and he could leave sheep-strewn island sooner.

New Zealand stared blankly for a moment at Germany then shifted her seat. "Well, I thought you were trying...but no."
she replied a little shyly as this all processed in her head. So he was serious? He wasn't here for an alliance and to be friends. He just wanted more land. Kura didn't look mad, perhaps a tad under standing too. New Zealand didn't have a lot of land, having more wouldn't be to bad but she was happy with the ammount she had. "I honestly think an alliance would bne better. England wouldn't be to happy if I became German teritory and to be honest I wouldn't be so peachy either..." she explained. With most that could come out slightly annoyed. But New Zealand was succecful at making it sound sweet yet still serious enough to get her point across. She was her own country and had been her own country for a little over sixty years. Kura was getting a little annoyed. She wanted to be her own country. It wasn't like that was asking much from anyone anymore. She'd be able to make this decision on her own and she was chosing to deny this offer. "I've been just fine so far, I get along well with America and England. They are both very storng and look out for me. Plus It's not like I make to many enemys either." She thought about the second part of what he said for a long moment staring down at her pajama pants. She had compleately zoned out for a moment and jumped when one of the lambs hopped into her lap. She slowed her heart down and began to rub the sheep behind it's ear. "I'll be fine on my own," she replied. "I appriciate your concern though. However there's just something about being controled by another country that bothers me. I'm sorry Germany but no, I decline your offer." Again, New Zealand didn't sound annoyed or mad. She sounded as if she was simply doing buinsess. The islander had no intention of fighting and would be just happy if they could talk everrything out. New Zealand didn't like wars or fighting and was certain Germany was quite sick of them himself. So she couldn't find any way that this would ever become a fight. Besides, her home wasn't all that big so there was really no reason to worry over a country that's about the size of colorado. ".. I see."
Germany slid back his chair and stood, his gaze hardening as the other nation declined his offer. "You know I was trying to be civil, but it seems even you can't see a good offer." He wasn't going to take the rejection lightly of course, not when he had come expecting to have the islander in his grasp within fifteen minutes. "I was giving you a choice, but I'm not leaving here with a no." Contrary to his quiet, business-like manner just a few minutes ago, the Germanic nation was now irked that someone had said 'no'. Would she rather just go to war? He wasn't asking much, at least that's what he thought, since he didn't see how it was such a big deal.. whatever it was she was concerned about.
Making his way around the table, the blond stood almost directly behind New Zealand's chair, tapping the paper document that laid in front of her. "Now," he began, his voice flat and impatient, "I'm no longer giving you a choice. If you are not on good terms with me, you are considered an enemy.. I have plenty of others on my side, so you won't stand much of a chance, vill you?
"In fact, I haven't seen Kirkland in a while.." A faint smirk tugged at the German's lips as he moved a hand into his coat pocket and produced a pen, placing it silently next to the younger nation. Seeing that England wouldn't be happy with New Zealand only further motivated him to capture the land; it would be just one more thing to get back at him for.. well.. previous events. After a stretch of silence, he spoke again, his voice containing the underlying tone of a threat. "Now, just sign, and we won't have any unfortunate accidents and injuries, ja?"
Clearly, he wasn't going anywhere any time soon.

New Zealand's heart started pumping as he stood up. Germany was a very intimidating man when he was happy let alone mad. He seemed mad right now but she feared it would get worse. She took in a deep nervous breath and then let another out. "I'm not saying your leaving with a no, I'm saying you can either leave with a no or you can leave with an alliance, but Germany this just isn't in the best intrest of my people."
She stared at him for a while hoping that he would sit down and relax a little. He seemed angry. She shrunk down in her chair watching him walk around the table. Her eyes were a little wide but she maintained eye contact with him trying to show no fear and no sign of backing down. "Please Germany, there's no need to hover," she said still in that nice tone. "Sit down, it's not like I'm going to do anything smart." New Zealand honestly didn't have any weapons on her. There was a lamb in her lap for pete sake! She looked like a defencless teenage girl who had just said no to someone. That was it. "I'm no enemy of yours," she said softly. "I have no intention of bringing harm to you." she added. "It wouldn't be so bad if it were just an alliance, you know...baby steps. Start with an alliance?" It was that instinct that said 'get out of here' that told her to say anything to get this nation to calm down. "If you have other's on your side, perhaps you should make this offer to them? I mean, they must be bigger then me, yeah?" She stared at him with no intention to sound rude but perhaps it did sound that way. Neither has Kura to be honest. But she had to get used to that over the years and by now has numbed out that fact England was always busy and it didn't hurt if she didn't think about it. "He has buisness," she said looking away from Germany. It was obvious he had hit that little button but she hoped he hadn't realized it. Had he just threaten her? Well she wouldn't let that work. She looked up at him with a serious stare. "I will not leave my final decision, you will leave with a no or we can be allies. However I refuse to be German territory and no threat that you have up your sleeve will change my mind." Kura put the sheep down and stood up pushing her chair in. "It's best if we both calm down a little bit before anything rash happens, okay?" She hoped that it was just empty threats. Germany was strong and New Zealand wasn't as strong as he was. So she just hoped that he would listen to her and either leave and think about an alliance or just decide to visit and have some lolly cake rather then fight. [/blockquote]

'Stubborn.'
If he wasn't trying to get something out of the smaller nation, he would have actually been impressed with her resilience; however, this was no time to try and act heroic, and the German's patience was quickly wearing thin. "Sitting down is not going to help the manner," he quickly replied, brushing off a majority of her words, "And trying to look strong isn't either. In fact, it makes things worse." With an emphasis on his final word, the nation took a step closer to the island, eyes narrowing thoughtfully. Silently, he was fuming, but he tried to remain rash and not act harshly.. yet. "The others are on my side because they were either smart enough to take this opportunity, or they were ignorant in thinking they could actually stand up against me..
"I quickly fixed that."
Germany crossed his arms, leaning down slightly and not bothering to hide his intentions anymore as he had hoped to do earlier. "What good is an alliance? I have nothing to gain from it. With you under my control, I can make that pompous excuse of a has-been nation.. Well, that's none of your business." He stood up straight again and glanced around the room. At the moment, he was about ready to say more, but just barely held himself back. No matter what, level-headedness was something he wanted to retain. While a part of him wanted then and there to go through with his threats, another part of him kept telling him to stay calm, and that his threats were empty.. Were they? Not even he was entirely sure, but there wasn't a clear sign that said he wouldn't go through with them.
The nation took another step forward, hoping to corner the New Zealander. "They're not threats, they are promises, and it is the best interest of your people unless you want to see exactly what those promises are." Being a nation of action instead of words, he was biding his time, inwardly not wanting to have to use force, but feeling he would have to very soon if the other didn't start cooperating.

New Zealand held back a glare. She felt that they were both being quite stuborn. Perhaps it was in his nature and it could be in her's too. However this didn't seem like a good idea to her to become German territory. She didn't find how it benifited her if the only person she needed protection from could be standing in front of her. She thought about telling him that but saved it for later in case she would need it. "I'm not trying to act strong, I'm trying to stay calm."
she pointed out not even caring she sounded mean. 'I'm done with this, he needs to leave with a no right now. Ohh, I hope he will.' The islander was quite scared now. Germany wasn't the kind to joke and perhaps he wasn't the kind to lie about a promise. "What have I ever done to you?" she asked narrowing her eyes. "Why do you threaten me?" Sure, she fought in world war two on the allie's side a bit, but she was part of the english empire back then. She wasn't even an indipendent country yet. However if she had the choice she would still fight since it was a world war. Nothing to gain from it? Well it wasn't so great on the other side either. "Well the grass isn't greener on the other side," she exclaimed. "I'm only suggesting an alliance so that we don't get in a fight or something stupid like that. I don't see anything I can gain from it! Maybe a little protection...but who am I being protected from? The world? If you haven't noticed I'm not at war, nor is anyone attacking me." She carefully watched him for a moment and then took a step back as he took a step forward. Her eyes widened a little and her heart began to race. Okay, so maybe he was a very serious nation but come on, he wasn't going to beat her up...right? She had a spark of feistyness left in her. Perhaps enough to convince him to agree to an alliance. "How will other's react at the next world confrence meeting, that you beat a girl, younger then you are, smaller then you are, and with a bigger sheep population then human population, into submission?" She narrowed her eyes giving a sly smirk and tilting her head to one side. "I'll be sure to add details." Perhaps he took that as a "no way germany, your going to have to beat me into agreeing to this." or maybe not. She just hoped whatever he chose to do next that he'd do it fast so that it would just be over. [/blockquote]

Okay, she was getting irritating.
Without replying to her first comment, the nation gave a short laugh. "Was that supposed to scare me? That's the reason I'm doing this, so others can see, especially your guardian angel, England. Add all the details you want.. In fact, I'll even bring it up first thing at the meeting, how about that?" No, he wasn't one to back off, and the fact that the smaller nation had dared to retaliate, and had dared to try and gain the upper hand only irritated him more. This was taking too long, and by now he barely had any patience left.
Staying where he was, Germany only gave a thoughtful glance around the kitchen. "Of course you don't expect me to hurt you if you don't comply, directly.. There are other ways to hurt another nation without having to personally beat them down." Yes, this was true. Past wars where his people were affected and hurt, killed and jailed, he felt it, and they left life-long scars. No country had came to him and hurt him upfront, but the pain of his people was still there.. just like economic slumps left one sick, and thriving ones left them full of energy.
"So if I was you, I would just sign those documents, unless you're going to let your stubbornness lead to your nation's death.." He paused, giving a small sigh as he looked back to New Zealand. "My previous offer stands just one more time: There would be no war, nothing big besides just some troops stationed at the island.." Germany carefully trailed off, and he didn't feel it was necessary to say that the offer would fly out the window if she refused just one more time. If that was still the case, he decided now would be the time to take matters into his own hands..

New Zealand was slowly starting to catch up. What did he want other's to see? She had a few ideas such as influence and strength. However he hadn't laied a single hand on her. He just scared the 'bahjeezers' out of her. It was early, she was ready to go to bed and these threats were honestly wearing down on her and actually made her want to cry. However she sucked it up and told herself that sometimes the world is mean so she'll have to be a little mean too. "Fine, bring it up. The sooner I can get to England or America for help the better."
Whatever he was going to do New Zealand planned on seeking help from England. She wouldn't beg or anything, she liked England a lot and hoped that he would at least help out a little for his former colony. She narrowed her eyes at him. "You're going to hurt my economy? Starve my people or something? Do you plan on making me an example or something?" Her voice was a low growl. She couldn't believe what was going on here but she planned on pissing him off in any way that she could. The islander felt small compared to him and a lot less stronger. She could take another small country but when it came to Germany...he worked hard to stay in shape, so did New Zealand but he seemed like he had a lot more practice. She had been portected by England for a very long time. She had been icolated and hadn't fought a lot. Sure there were the musket wars but that was with the natives and that was a long time ago. "I'm not much to you, am I? Just some small island off in the corner of the world. I'm so unimportant I can't even make the map on that risk board game. I'm just the little forgotten island in the corner who you'll never even fully protect I bet. You only want me rather then another one of England's former colonies because I'm easy, because if you attack America he'll actually fight back and win!" She grabbed the paper and opened it up one more time gazing over it. The small country let out a sigh and re-read it again, and then again. New Zealand wondered what people would think if she gave up so easily without putting up that long of a fight. "Germany," she said as she read over it one more time thinking it through for a good minute and a half. It took another few seconds to choose her words carefuly. "No." That's all she could manage to say. Kura gazed up at him narrowing her eyes preparing for anything he had to throw at her. [/blockquote]

America? While he had expected the Britain to come to the girl’s aid, the mention of America took him by surprise. He blinked for a moment, quickly regaining his composure. It was something to make note of, but not something to start fretting about just yet; she could be bluffing after all. Without moving closer, Germany simply nodded. “Suit yourself, if you want to drag your loved ones into being destroyed.” A moment of silence, and the nation decided the practice of ‘actions speak louder than words’ would be the best way to go about this, since New Zealand didn’t seem to be surrendering any time soon.
“Actually, I was thinking of a more direct approach, like an attack.” The way the smaller nation spoke, you wouldn’t believe it was the same cheerful girl from earlier. He managed to smirk slightly, looking back at the other and letting her speak all she wanted, since, later, he was positive she wouldn’t be in a position to be saying anything. He wasn’t going to respond to anything she was saying, but why not? “You’re right. You’re not really anything to me.. However, I wouldn’t have to worry about protecting you, since I doubt anyone else would bother to attack you.” He paused, mulling over his words. “But I would-- would have, if you just signed the agreement in the first place.” At the comment of America winning, he said nothing. Instead, he scoffed and turned to make his way toward the door, leaving the paperwork on the table. “Suit yourself. You’ll only regret it more later the more you decline it.” Now, of course he wasn’t planning on attacking her (the country yes, but as for New Zealand herself, he wouldn‘t do such a thing), so instead he was taking his leave.
Just before exiting the doorway, Germany turned back and looked at the nation with a cold, yet strange look. “Just because you had a spine, my offer stands, one last time. If I have no response by tomorrow morning, expect another, much worse, rude awakening.” He quickly turned his gaze back to the papers on the table, before offering a quick salute to the island nation and exiting the home, briskly closing the door behind him.

New Zealand stared down at her feet for a moment blinking slowly. She began to imagine what would happen if she had brought her loved ones into war. She wouldn't be able to forgive herself. In the past she always had some type of support from someone. It seems as if she'll never be strong enough to get something that she wants on her own through fighting. She'd have to resort to compromise and meeting someone half way. But Germany seemed like the kind of person to get what he wants and if you you disagree, too bad because in the end some how he ends up winning. "I can deal with it myself,"
she mumbled mostly to herself. She didn't look up at the other country though. She felt awkward with all her attempts at scaring him. Yet he had no effect on him. An attack? Would she be ready for an attack. "Germany please," she said almost frantically. "Please reconsider an alliance. I have land to bennifit you. I am forgotten in the corner of the earth. I'm not even on some maps. If you had forts down here and trained people nobody would know. Nobody would attack and if something like that happened, god forbid, if I happen to piss someone off they would never see you coming. My country is a mountonous place." she stared at him for a long moment. "Even if there were a famin, there's enough sheep to go around for everyone for at least a few days or even weeks to give me time to figure out what to do!" she explained. "I may not be powerful however my home is a good place to sneak up on people when it's needed." she gave him a serious stare hoping that some how he'd change his mind and allow an alliance. Or perhaps she just gave him a reason to make her become german territory. She'd hope she had the effect she wanted to have. It seemed as if she were right there is no agreeing with him. She watched him depart and she slowly sunk to a chair and shuffled through the papper getting deeper and deeper into thought. She didn't even watch him leave. She weighed the outcomes of saying no and yes. Worse come to worse he'd force her to walk around and do chores. Or maybe he would really protect her? Germany seemed like a really strong guy and seemed brutally honest. Perhaps dedicated to his word too? She closed her eyes letting out a long sigh putting the papers down and simply staring at them. 'I don't know, he's defenatly up to something and I know I mean nothing to him...maybe ... I should talk to him more when he comes back...' --- New Zealand stood streight up in uniform. Usually she wore civilian clothes to just about everything. It's been a long while since she was in uniform and had a gun strapped to her hip. But when she was in this uniform you knew she meant buisness. She had Germany's papers in one hand and a new pice of paper in the other hands. She stood tall and proud waiting outside her home for Germany's arrival. 'I wonder if I'm a tad early...all well... I'm sure he'll be here soon.' She gazed down at her new pice of paper that she had thrown together after he had left of everything she expected from him if she were to say yes and just in case stapled a list of compromises in case she could change his mind instead of become German territory. After she read over it she lowered the paper standing up streight again and continued waiting for the other country. [/blockquote]
